Founded in 2016, the Micropep startup identifies and selects the most appropriate micropeptides for plant protection before formulating them and producing effective and viable treatments for agriculture.
Transfer project
As part of its support, Toulouse Tech Transfer mobilised all its business skills. Involved throughout the maturation process, TTT identified and safeguarded the invention with the help of its intellectual property department, in particular through patents. The SATT has also invested in the technical development and TRL ramp-up. The CEO of Micropep is a former TTT employee.

The technology developed stems from research carried out at the Laboratoire de Recherche des Sciences Végétales (LRSV) in Toulouse.

Micropep was founded in 2016 as a spin-off from LRSV, a French plant research laboratory of the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and the University of Toulouse. To date, Micropep has raised nearly $25 million from leading European and American investors and started expanding into the United States in 2022.
