NORIMAT specialises in the design and manufacture of high-performance technical parts (ceramic/metal) by flash sintering, mainly for the aerospace, defence and luxury sectors.
Transfer project
NORIMAT is a spin-off of the CIRIMAT laboratory founded by Romain Epherre, Yannick Beynet and Claude Estournès. TTT was involved throughout the maturation process from the technical maturation programme to achieve industrial proof of concept, to the economic study of the process to determine its industrial potential, and filing and maintenance of intellectual property (patents and expertise).
Development
The technology was developed at CIRIMAT as part of Charles Manière’s doctoral thesis.
The company
NORIMAT specialises in the design and manufacture of very high-performance technical ceramics using an unconventional sintering process known as “Spark Plasma Sintering” (or SPS).
Thanks to its comprehensive management of the process, NORIMAT is able to model the various stages of the sintering process and offer optimised solutions for the production of materials, particularly complex shapes (3D).
The technology is particularly well suited to materials with very high mechanical strength, but also to the production of multi-materials and ceramic/metal assemblies.
