SINTERED: red ceramic material

Ceramic parts are currently used in a wide range of industrial sectors. These materials need to have high mechanical strength, low density, high hardness, high rigidity and high resistance to wear, cracking and heat. They are generally black, white, blue, or brown in colour.
The technology presented here makes it possible to obtain red ceramics produced by spark plasma sintering (SPS), with all the physical advantages of conventional ceramic.

Description

The Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS) process enables the mixture of nanostructured and nanocomposite powders to be densified very quickly, in just a matter of tens of minutes
A ceramic material with a homogeneous red colour is produced from a mixture of zirconia, alumina or zirconia/alumina ceramic powders, including a proportion of pigment.
